Supporting emotional regulation, co-regulation & conscious connection with children and teens
About the Course
This is a 3-session small group program consisting of 1 face to face immersion on how to anchor yourself in your body through your breath and then 2 weekly zoom sessions to build on your awareness of when to anchor and other strategies to support you to stay anchored. It is designed to support parents, caregivers, and educators in learning how to use the conscious breath as a tool for anchoring, self-regulation and co-regulation.
Through gentle breath work practices and other practical tools, you will build your window of tolerance, supporting you to respond with presence, clarity, and calm during challenging moments with children and teens.
The first session navigates you back into body through your breath. This is a gentle approach and supports you to find ways to break long-held patterns of behaviour and social conditioning around how we react and respond to our children and teens, in a slow and non-invasive way, helping you to not only guide yourself but also guide young people in ways that foster emotional intelligence, safety, and connection.
The skills learned can also be applied beyond the home or classroom — supporting co-regulation in workplaces, friendships, and extended family relationships.
This program is ideal for:
- New parents
- Parents struggling with their child’s emotional regulation
- Early childhood educators
- Primary & high school teachers
- Homeschool families
- Anyone working with children or teens seeking practical co-regulation tools
If you are ready to expand your toolkit and support the next generation with greater awareness and compassion, this short course is for you.
What you will gain:
✔ Practical breathwork techniques for nervous system regulation
✔ Tools to support emotional safety and co-regulation
✔ Greater awareness of your own stress responses
✔ Strategies to break reactive behaviour patterns
✔ Increased confidence when supporting children and teen
If during the program it becomes clear that additional support would be beneficial, 1:1 breathwork sessions may be offered at a discounted rate as a complementary addition to the course.
(Participants must complete the full 3-session program (6 hours over 3 weeks – 1 face to face session on the Saturday at Kingscliff Saltwater Studio and then 2 weekly 2 hour zoom sessions held on a Wednesday night.)
Educators can use this towards your professional development in health, wellbeing and emotional and social support for your students.
If you are interested in hosting an immersion into co-regulation for your educational setting or mother’s or parenting group reach out and I am happy to discuss how I can facilitate this.
Breath Blessings and may we co-create calmer connections one breath at a time.
